I’ve just hooked up two of these Netgear powerline adaptors and I’m actually kinda shocked, they worked first time without any fuss. My router is in my sitting room downstairs and my office is upstairs in a spare bedroom, so I’ve been running on wi-fi for the last couple of months. I’ve only been using these for an hour but there’s a definite speed improvement, I’m getting a steady 9 of my 10meg according to speedtest.net. Very useful if you’re in rented accommodation and can’t string CAT5 cable all over the place.
Of course over the next week I may discover that they’re flaky, online gaming will be the decider, so I’ll let you know if I do.
