‘Jupiter’s Legacy’, ‘Children of Sam: A Descent into Hell’, ‘Halston’ and the second season of ‘Who Killed Sara?’ are some of the most interesting news that you will see next month.
In less than two days we will be welcoming May, and as usual, the beginning of a new month brings a new wave of premieres to Netflix. Take note because Jupiter’s Legacy platform is finally here, the series inspired by the graphic novels of Mark Millar and Frank Quitely. But this is not the only fiction that is incorporated into the catalog. In May Netflix premieres one of its great series bets, Jupiter’s Legacy. Based on the series of graphic novels by Mark Millar and Frank Quitely, Steven S. DeKnight’s fiction features a cast led by Josh Duhamel, Leslie Bibb, Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade and Matt Lanter. The plot introduces us to the first generation of superheroes, in the moments in which they begin to consider giving up the baton to their children. The problem is that young aspiring heroes have a very different way of working and take life with a different philosophy. The sons of Sam: A descent into hell is the title of the new ‘true crime’ that Netflix premieres in May. Directed by Joshua Zeman, the docuseries revolves around David Berkowitz, known as Son of Sam, the serial killer who jeopardized the safety of New York during the summers of 1976 and 1977. In the series, special emphasis is placed on the investigation carried out by journalist Maury Terry, who suspected that Berkowitz may not have operated alone, and that he may have belonged to a satanic sect, as he himself suggested years after being imprisoned.

The Upshaw family
Netflix is also committed to comedy and this month it premieres The Upshaw family. Starring comedians Wanda Sykes and Mike Epps, the fiction narrates the adventures and misadventures faced by an African-American family from Indiana, in their constant struggle to balance work with private life.

The Halston miniseries is another novelty that will be added to the platform’s catalog next May. The protagonist of fiction, Ewan McGregor, gives life to Halston, the well-known designer, who in the 70s and 80s managed to achieve success in the world of fashion with his avant-garde and innovative designs. In addition to showing what that rise to the top was like, the series, produced by Ryan Murphy, also delves into the most dramatic moments in Halston’s life, when an OPA led him to give up what he wanted most. Who Killed Sara?
This month Netflix also premieres the second season of one of its most popular fictions of this 2021, the Mexican ‘thriller’ Who killed Sara ?. In this second installment, Alex Guzman (Manolo Cardona) continues to be obsessed with discovering what was behind the murder of his sister, Sara, of which he was believed guilty and for which he was sentenced to prison. As he begins to investigate Sara’s mysterious past, the appearance of a body buried in his garden forces him to speed up his investigations to avoid going back to jail.
