Russo Brothers Jump On Dazai TikTok Trend In Funny Video

Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame directors Joe and Anthony Russo join in on the latest social media fad, the Dazai trend on TikTok.

The Russo Brothers are jumping on the Dazai TikTok trend in a funny new video. Joe and Anthony Russo are known for directing some of the most ambitious and successful entries in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Their MCU debut came in 2014 with Captain America: The Winter Soldier and they returned for the sequel, Captain America: Civil War, in 2016. Marvel liked their work on the team-up film so much they were brought back to direct Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame, both of which rank among the highest-grossing films of all time.

Their first film after Avengers: Endgame was the Tom Holland-led Cherry, though it mostly flew under the radar due to its release on Apple TV+ and negative reception from critics. Their next film, The Gray Man, is expected to fare much better considering its release on Netflix, star-studded cast, and massive budget. The streamer reportedly put up $200 million for the Russo Brothers’ spy thriller, which stars Ryan Gosling, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jessica Henwick, Regé-Jean Page, Billy Bob Thornton, and Michael Gandolfini.

While the Russo Bros aren’t helming massive blockbusters, they have been spending their time enjoying the Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer and engaging in all the newest social media trends. The latest of which is the Dazai trend on TikTok, which uses a sound that originates from an anime. The video comes courtesy of the agbofilms page, the brothers’ production company. Russo Brothers and Avengers Endgame Final Battle

At this point, a fifth Avengers movie seems inevitable for the MCU. While the Russo brothers are likely considered the frontrunners to direct it, Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow lawsuit unexpectedly caused an impasse in their negotiations with Marvel. Considering the Russos are two of the most popular filmmakers working within the MCU, the studio would be wise to mend this relationship as soon as possible. For now, the Russo brothers seem content producing films like Cherry and The Gray Man through their AGBO banner.

With Phase 4 of the MCU putting the multiverse front and center, Avengers 5 could finally adapt the Secret Wars crossover storyline which fans have long been waiting to see happen. Bringing Joe and Anthony Russo back along with their frequent screenwriting partners Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely would set the stage for Marvel to outdo what they did with Infinity War and Endgame. While the Russo Brothers‘ next film, The Gray Man, does not currently have a release date, it could come as soon as early 2022.
