JAKARTA – The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) is considered to be present in the film community with smart solutions to revive the film industry through the Film National Economic Recovery (PEN) program.

In addition, Arfan assessed that other economic impacts could be present in terms of promoting tourism on these beaches through films. In fact, he wants to involve 50 of his film crew in national and international film competitions in the future.

In addition to inviting people to care about the environment, tourism potential in Malang Regency can also be introduced. “Actually, this tourist location is very worthy to be promoted to the international world, maybe one of them with this film,” he said.

Because, so far, Indonesia is considered to have serious problems in the environmental sector, climate change, food crisis, and environmental damage. “Environmental films, need to be reproduced again. If necessary, famous film stars, such as Dian Sastrowardoyo. So that the audience is also large,” he said.

Arfan said, Indonesia needs films that can be enjoyed. “Let’s build awareness together, film is an important instrument for the campaign to love and care for the environment,” he stressed.

The film, written by Nashiru Setiawan and produced by Arfan Adhi Perdana, received funding for the film from the Ministry of Tourism’s National Economic Recovery Program (PEN). Taking 10 days to produce, filming for this film will be completed on December 10, 2021.

“We are optimistic that it will be finished, because we immediately edit on location. This is a new lesson for us local filmmakers who work within strict targets and administration, because we have to report to the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy,” concluded the director from Batu City, Malang.
